A great preemtive auto-reply Thomas Pamminger

It’s holiday season—high season for auto-reply messages. Here is one of my favorites I received a couple of days ago:

hi,

You are receiving this email because we had email-contact within the last several month and/or I deem it likely that you will send me email within two weeks.

But: not only will I be away from mail for the next two weeks, I will most likely delete all mails that get sent to me for the rest of august.

The reason for this is that my vacation will be much more relaxed if I don’t have to be afraid of the approx. 700 unread emails (that’s a realistic estimate) that will wait for me when i come back.

So, when I return from my vacation, I plan to litter all unread email. toss it. select all, delete. I believe that this plan will help me tremendously to chill. in fact, I can already feel it.

Please forgive me, and if you have something urgent you want to share with me, please do so on or after sept. 1st. I’m looking forward to hear from you.

Wanted: Multimedia Designer (f) Thomas Pamminger

We are looking for an multimedia designer to join our team here in vienna permanently. At wollzelle you will be working across multiple clients and projects, as part of a team of designers and developers. You will create design concepts for print and digital campaigns, screen design, interface design and flash animations.

So you’ll need lots of great ideas and the relevant Mac skills to bring them to life (Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash…)

you positivly have:

• 3 years experience in a multimedia or advertising agency
• You are great with layouts and tremendous with type
• You have an excellent portfolio, showing you are versed in design for print and digital media.
• You have experienced a full life-cycle of a digital project numerous times.
• You know Adobe’s CS Suite on the Mac inside out (Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, Flash,...).
• Knowledge of pre-press file prep is helpful but not an essential.
• Languages: English/(German)

Soziales Netzwerk issue 13 Thomas Pamminger

The latest issue of the magazine Soziales Netzwerk, which we art direct, features a very nice article about an elderly lady “aunt Nelly” who rearranged her home accommodation by getting rid of all the furniture, hiring an architect and turning it into her own space.
